Insulated Siding Installation

Never Do Less Than Your Best.

ehr-divider-black-200-1.png

Traditional vinyl siding backed and insulated with foam is essentially a big 1 ¼” thick layer of fantastic insulation and protection. So not only will new insulated siding do a fantastic job of lowering your energy bills and conserving the energy that you do have but they’re going to add a ton of impact resistance to the outside of your home, and actually do a lot to reduce noise transmission both into and out of your home, a quiet home is always nice to have.

Key Benefits of Insulated Vinyl Siding

  • Energy Efficiency / Temperature Control: Through both the winter and summer months you should see pretty drastic reductions in your energy bills. Insulated siding helps the entire home maintain a good constant temperature, and patches up a lot of the spots that you would typically expect to lose most of your good conditioned air. Enjoy every part of your home, year round, comfortably.
  • Noise Reduction: If you find yourself constantly interrupted by noises from your neighborhood or outside anywhere – insulated siding can make significant that’s immediately noticeable.
  • Protection from the elements: Insulated vinyl siding is designed with protection from the elements, mainly water as it tends to cause the most issues, so it’s designed to shed water well, prevent mold growth, and just generally keep your walls dryer and more well ventilated.

Quality Installation Means Long-Lasting Results

Aside from the great energy savings which we’ve already touched on, one big benefit of insulated vinyl is how rigid and firm it is, compared to your standard hollow vinyl siding. A lot of times standard vinyl siding is referred to as “hollow vinyl” – because of the empty space there between the front layer of vinyl.

Standard vinyl is actually pretty flexible (don’t worry it’s not very brittle you can’t break it too easily) and conforms very well to walls. Sometimes in high wind or bad weather the space between the vinyl can cause it to rattle, and your siding may actually push inwards and contact your walls if the wind or something pushes against it. Insulated vinyl siding avoids all of these issues and gives you the solidity that traditional vinyl siding just lacks.

Insulated siding IS going to cost you more than just your normal run of the mill vinyl siding will. Labor-wise though it’s really no harder to install so you won’t have to pay any extra installation fees or anything.

You DO need to make sure you are only using professional installers such as ourselves – gaps or breaks can seriously hurt your thermal performance and do the exact opposite of what you want! Not to mention from an aesthetic point of view you really want your siding to be installed as cleanly as possible with minimal cuts, gaps, things of that nature.
