Casement Windows

Windows That Let Your Home Breathe Again
There's a reason casement windows keep showing up on renovation wishlists. Hinged on the side and cranked outward, they open wide for a breeze and deliver views that feel almost like there's no window there at all.
But what used to be considered a luxury is now well within reach for most Milwaukee households. As a woman-owned, locally rooted company, Empire Home Remodeling has helped local homeowners make this upgrade for over 15 years. And once you experience the difference, it's hard to imagine settling for anything less.
Performance You Feel, Style You See
Casement windows deliver warmth and character while quietly doing the hard work of keeping your home efficient and comfortable. But beyond performance, they're also surprisingly adaptable. With options for how they open, how they're sized, and how they look, we can help you find a configuration that feels designed specifically for your space.
It's a window style that earns its reputation, season after season. Whether you're updating one room or refreshing your whole home, casement windows have a way of looking like they were always meant to be there.

Designed Your Way, Down to the Details
Casement windows aren't one-size-fits-all, and that's a big part of their appeal. Here's a look at the options available to you:
Material Options: Vinyl for minimal maintenance, or aluminum for a sharper aesthetic
Colors & Finishes: Interior and exterior choices to complement your home's existing style
Glass Packages: Double- or triple-pane options for insulation and noise reduction
Hardware Updates: A variety of handle styles and locking mechanisms
Custom Sizing: Measured and made to your exact specifications
Energy-Efficient Technology: Smart design choices that add up to real savings
If the options feel overwhelming, don't worry. We walk every homeowner through the process until it all clicks. We also exclusively install KHPP windows, an American-made product we wholeheartedly stand behind.

Reliable Performance Without the Extra Effort
Good windows earn their keep over time, and casement windows are built to do exactly that. Multi-pane glass, insulated spacers, and advanced weatherstripping give them a strong foundation from the start.
When closed, they compress tightly against the frame. Cold winters and humid summers have nowhere to sneak in, and your heating and cooling system gets a much-needed break. Many options carry ENERGY STAR certification to back up their claims.
Day to day, they're just as dependable. The crank is smooth, both sides of the glass are easy to reach for cleaning, and the whole thing is designed to hold up without much attention from you.
Why Choose Empire Home Remodeling?
Empire Home Remodeling is a local company, and we operate like one. We're not a national chain with a call center. We're your neighbors, and we treat every project as if it were happening in our own home.
That means:
Clear scheduling and prep guidance before your appointment, so you always know what to expect and when.
Detailed proposals with no hidden costs, because nobody likes surprises on an invoice.
Tidy, organized installation with full cleanup when we're done, so your home looks better after we leave, not worse.
Friendly, responsive support long after the project is complete, because our relationship with you doesn't end when the last window goes in.
Manufacturer and workmanship warranties on every installation, so you're covered well beyond the day we wrap up.
Our work speaks for itself, but so does the experience around it. We want the whole process to feel worth your time, and that's not just a promise. It's how we've operated for over 15 years.

Window Types
Double Hung Windows
Double-hung windows have two vertical glass panels that can slide both up and down in the frame at the same time. They can open very wide from either top or bottom and won’t protrude in any way whatsoever.
Casement Windows
These are hinged windows that operate with the simple turn of a crank arm that controls the opening mechanism. Depending on your home layout and what works best for you the hinge can either come on the left or the right side.
Picture Windows
Picture windows are generally very large fully stationary windows designed to let in the maximum amount of light possible. These are perfect for those seeking the best outside views and natural light coverage.
Bow Window Replacement
Bow windows give a unique 180° arc design which allows more light into your home and allows you to see a wider view. Bow window replacements are created from six windows of the same size and are not as deep as bay windows.
Bay Windows
Bay window replacement is great if you are looking for a stunning window that brings personality and function to your home. Bay windows consist of three windows at either 30°, 45°, 60°, or 90° angles and these are large enough for a seat or small mattress to fit comfortably on!
Awning Windows
Awning windows come hinged at the top and can be turned completely outwards to let air in from every single direction! They can be installed either above, below, or alongside your normal stationary windows.
Garden Windows
With a garden window, you can finally enjoy your plants and flowers year-round without worry about the weather outside! These windows project outwards a good couple of inches to give you space to put up things like photos, plants, or whatever else décor you may want.
3 Lite Slider Windows
These windows have three separate panels (called sashes) within one master frame. These windows are often chosen for all of the natural light that they allow as well as how easy it is to open both sides and let fresh air in. The 3 slider design is also very aesthetically pleasing and can operate at the touch of a fingertip!

“When installation day came, all 9 windows were installed with expertise in one day. The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. And, we love our windows!”
